How did you get into banking?
I got into banking because I wanted a career that provided a better work-life balance, especially in the beginning when my family was growing. Banking offered stability and the opportunity to build relationships while helping others achieve their goals.
What do you like most about working for Mid Penn Bank?
My personal purpose and values align perfectly with Mid Penn Bank and its overall mission. I get to serve the communities I love in new and exciting ways. What I enjoy most about the Bank is the strong sense of teamwork. Everyone here works together toward a shared goal of serving our clients and communities. The culture of support and collaboration make Mid Penn a truly great place to work.
What is one goal you set for yourself for 2025?
Aside from teaching my 16-year-old to drive, my biggest goal for 2025 is to spend more time reading. I love learning and gaining new and unique perspectives, it helps me grow both personally and professionally. Reading also serves as a form of self-care, allowing me to slow down, reflect and recharge. By prioritizing this goal, I hope to cultivate a healthier work-life balance while staying curious and inspired.
What do you like most about the South Jersey region?
I grew up in South Jersey, and besides being a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan, I love that it’s a great place to raise a family. The area has amazing food, endless activities to enjoy, and a strong sense of community. It has the perfect mix, close to the excitement of the city while maintaining the comfort of its close-knit neighborhoods.
What’s a question you would like to be asked? (Please provide both the question and the answer to this) What advice would you give a young professional trying to navigate their career?
Build meaningful relationships, embrace feedback, and seek opportunities to learn and grow. Most importantly, find both a mentor and a sponsor, someone who can guide you and someone who will advocate for you in rooms you may not yet have access to. Do not shy away from challenges or rejection, instead, embrace them. The way you respond to these setbacks will say more about your character than your actual setback. Setbacks are where real growth happens. Embrace them, learn from them, and use them as stepping stones for your next challenge.
